itslearning Acquires Fronter to Become Europe’s Largest Provider of Digital Learning Platforms

itslearning, a learning management system provider, announced the company has acquired Scandinavian-based learning management system Fronter from Pearson. This would make itslearning the biggest provider of digital learning platforms in Europe.

The two companies will join forces under the itslearning brand and expand their goals. The strategy of the company now is to strengthen its global expansion and achieve sustainable growth. itslearning will continue to develop learning platforms for education with additional value. It will also continue to help teachers improve learning outcomes and achieve better results from their students.

After the merge is complete, the company will focus on entering new markets. It has a strategy in place and it will put on an emphasis on it’s platform portfolio, the development of which will continue to be a priority. Fronter will bring what it is best at to the table, including adding many new capabilities and functionalities to itslearning’s platform.

The acquisition consolidates itslearning AS’ position as a leading learning platform provider, with more than 400 employees and millions of users worldwide. The financial terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.

itslearning was founded in 1999 in Bergen, Norway. The headquarters are still there, but thera are many additional offices in several countries. Amongst them are Sweden, Finland, Denmark, USA, France, Germany, United Kingdom, the Netherlands.
