Choosing the right tech certifications can seem like a challenge. There are so many of them and trends in the tech industry change all the time.

Still, there are some platforms and technologies that stay around for a long time. And then, there are skills that not only are always needed, but net some healthy gains.

The  IT Skills and Certifications Pay Index (ITSCPI) monitors these movements in the US and Canadian IT industry. It tracks the extra pay awarded to 72 120 IT pros in the two countries for a total of 916 certified and non-certified IT and business skills. Among them are 422 tech certifications.

The data is updated twice a year. The latest update features data up to April 1st 2017. And the sample is even bigger this time, as it features 3038 private and public sector employers providing data for a total of 262 540 tech pros. We’ve already checked out which are the top paying skills.

Now, it’s time to see which are the fastest growing tech certifications. On average their market value has risen to the equivalent of 7.6% of the base salary for a single certification. The top performers are gaining a 35% increase. And here are all tech certifications gaining between 17% and 35% for the past six months.
